Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Canvas Panel?

Canvas primed with gesso and glued to a panel board. This type of canvas is flat and will need a frame or something added to the back to be able to hang it on a wall.

Do you need to frame a painting on Stretched Canvas?

Traditional stretched canvas doesn't need to be framed and will have the sides painted but you may choose to frame it with a canvas frame that is specifically made for the thickness of a stretched canvas.

How long will shipping take?

The artwork (with the exception of custom work) can take 1 to 2 weeks processing time in North America and 2-10 weeks for Custom work. Sealing the artwork with protective coating is also something that takes 24-72 hours and is part of the processing time.

What do the colors look like?

Actual colors may vary. It depends on your computer monitor or electronic device. In person colors may look different because during the scanning and photographing process some colors especially neon/flourescent colors are dulled.

How do I choose a frame for Canvas Panel Painting?

There are standard picture frames that will work because canvas panels are quite thin, but make sure to find a frame that is recessed enough. A deeper rabbet will ensure that there is adequate room for the painting. If the painting is an odd size such as 6x8, 7x9, 6x6, 8x8 etc you may need to consult with a picture framer at a local art store or frame shop since there are less picture frame varieties in these sizes.

How long will custom/personalized orders take to ship?

Custom artwork can take 2-10 weeks processing time for North America. You may get the painting sooner depending on how many custom orders I am currently working on, the size, and the complexity of the painting. Sealing the artwork with protective coating is also something that takes 24-72 hours and is part of the processing time.

How do I properly take care of my painting?

Please do not place a painting in direct sunlight for longevity of the artwork. UV light can change artwork and cause fading over time.

What are the instructions for varnishing?

At the time being, my paintings are sold unvarnished, as they are not yet ready for varnishing. As the paintings fully dry, I will apply a natural varnish to protect and enhance their colors. If you prefer to display the painting unvarnished in the meantime, that’s perfectly fine—it does not require varnishing to look beautiful. Please allow several months for the painting to fully dry before the varnish is applied. Feel free to contact me with any questions!

Are there any natural imperfections?

**Natural Imperfections**: As an **original handmade piece**, small variations in texture, brushstrokes, and imperfections may be present, making each painting unique and full of character.

How do I properly take care of my gouache painting?

When not on display, store gouache paintings in a cool, dark place. Avoid storage areas with high humidity or excessive sunlight, as these can cause the paint to degrade.

What payment methods do you accept?

I only accept payments via Etsy, I don't accept checks or mailed money. All supported payment methods are on my Etsy shop.
